L’opérateur ferroviaire privé allemand BeNEX, filiale de l’opérateur public Hamburger Hochbahn AG, vient de commander à Alstom 26 trains régionaux de type Coradia Continental pour un montant total de près de 100 millions d’euros. La commande porte sur 26 rames à motorisation électrique, dont 21 rames à 3 caisses et 5 rames quadricaisses, destinées au réseau régional de Regensburg-Donauthalbahn. Elles seront mises en service fin 2010. L’ensemble des rames sera fabriqué dans l’usine Alstom de Salzgitter en Allemagne. Alstom a vendu 233 trains Coradia Continental et Nordic (« wintérisés ») en Allemagne et en Suède à des opérateurs publics et privés depuis le lancement de la gamme en 2002.
