Mise en service commerciale des TER 2N NG en région Centre

La région Centre a commandé 7 rames TER 2N NG destinées à la desserte Paris-Chartres-Nogent-le-Rotrou, pour un montant total de 62,4 Meuros. A noter que la ligne Paris-Chartres-Nogent-le-Rotrou est la 1ère ligne du réseau TER Centre avec 40% des voyageurs transportés. (on rappelera que la desserte Aqualys n'est pas du TER mais des trains GL). Le premier élément automoteur électrique sera mis en service à la mi-novembre, ce qui permettra à terme, de retirer les Z 5300 encore en service sur cet axe, pour le plus grand plaisir des voyageurs

L'arrivée de ce nouveau matériel complète les investissements en faveur du matériel roulant déjà réalisés par la Région Centre sur cette même ligne, à savoir :
- Modernisation en 1998 de 5 rames inox omnibus pour 0,75 Meuros, et de 37 voitures à 2 niveaux (VO2N) pour 4,27 Meuros
- Modernisation en 2003 de 47 voitures Corail pour 6,90 Meuro
